1935-1994 Award-winning Waterolor Atrist and Illustrator. Born in Brooklyn, NYC, lived in Staten Island NY. Member of the American Watercolor Society AWS, Society of Illustrators, Audubon Artists, Salmagundi Club NY, Knickerbocker Artists, Navy Combat Artist and listed in the Biographical Encyclopedia of American Painters, Sculptors and Engravers. He began his career as an illustrator and commercial artist in 1959. Starting in greeting card design, then Topps Chewing Gum from 1972 through 1984. Griffin Bacal Inc 1985-1994. He also Freelanced. With a wide variety of style and skillful use of various mediums, he excelled as a storyboard artist as well as a designer of new product logos, greeting cards, comic strip art, cartoons, illustration, childrens's books and, of course, his fine art.
In 1959 Greeting Card design launched his commercial art career.

Augie, a member of The American Watercolor Society, and winner of over 200 awards, was also a member of the Salmagundi Club, the Society of illustrators, Audubon Artists and Graphic Artist's Guild. Throughout the 1960's and 70's he was a regular at the Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibit in New York City where he won Grand prize in 1974. In 1976 he was one of 40 artists commissioned by the Naval Art Cooperation and Laison (N.A.C.A.L.) to capture the Operation Sail Bicentennial Celebration. He was awarded the N.A.C.A.L Gold Medal for those works and since has been listed in the Who's Who in American Art.
Augie Napoli Graduated from the School of Visual Arts, Manhattan and began his career as a commercial artist in 1959, starting in greeting card design, then Topps Chewing Gum from 1972 through 1984. He was the artist responsible for the design of Topps trading cards and products. From 1985 through 1994 he was with the Griffin Bacal inc. advertising Agency in Manhattan. He also excelled as a storyboard artist and a designer of commercial logos, comic stripart, cartoons, and illustrations for childrens books.
Augie shared his talents instructing, lecturing, and giving demonstrations in Watercolor. Assisting Ed Whitney, A.W.S., A.N.A, conducting outdoor Painting workshops in Maine from 1976-1980. Special projects included design and constructing sets for plays for the Brooklyn Archdiocese He was also represented in galleries alongth east coast. Maine, NY Florida
